General

  1. 50P is inspired by the ongoing need for unity among ALL humanity.
  2. 50P stands to put a spotlight on ideas, achievements, and movements that emphasize the importance of mutual respect, love, compassion, wellness, peace, stewardship and equal rights for all.
  3. 50P emphasizes our brand, mission and followers first… Our product comes second.

We Believe…

  1. … in abstaining from intentional wrong-doing and harm (excerpt from the Hippocratic Oath).
  2. … that it’s not enough to believe in equality. You have to live it!
  3. … that we live in a world large enough and resourceful enough to go beyond meeting the needs of all humans.
  4. … that we do not have to exploit the world, its resources, each other, or other forms of life to meet these needs, and that we humans are imbued with the ability to innovate solutions that will foster a healthier global environment.
  5. … that there is undiscovered talent in everyone, and that we should support one another in cultivating that talent.
  6. … that you can only best serve others when the most important person in your life is YOU.
  7. … that, weather intentional or not, false divisions distract us from being respectful, compassionate neighbors to one another.
  8. … in the importance of understanding sensitivities when communicating with people of other cultures and sub-cultures, particularly when engaging with the oppressed.
  9. … if you truly want to know someone, ask them questions and LISTEN.
  10. … that all human beings should be accountable for their own actions, and that individuals should hold family, friends, and close associates accountable for their actions.
  11. … that it is the unwavering responsibility of parents to nurture their children, and where parents fail to do so, it becomes incumbent upon the community to fill in where the parents have fallen short.
  12. … that one should absolutely turn the other cheek before resorting to violence.
  13. … in presuming positive intent when receiving ill humor, alternative perspectives, or criticism from others.
  14. … that, while taking our humanity seriously, we should be cautious about taking life TOO seriously. That we can laugh and joke with one another, even at one another… even AT OURSELVES, while maintaining a healthy amount of respect.

We Will…

  1. … not place emphasis on human perfection (It’s ok to f∗∗k up every once and a while so long as we stay on a positive track). Alternatively, we will focus on the importance of human development, practical experience, and learning.
  2. … support initiatives that seek the ends aforementioned in item 18.
  3. … call attention to, and speak out against, those initiatives that are built upon divisiveness, hate, violence, oppression, and self-serving agendas.
  4. … be spiritual, maintaining a respect for all religions, with the exception of religions or religious sects that preach initiatives outlined in item 20 above.
  5. … only be political in so much as the political agendas we support are those that align with our mission.
  6. … be as diligent as possible to be factual in the written content that we produce, citing all resources utilized in our articles and blog posts. Please contact us with any concerns about the accuracy of our content.
  7. … be as diligent as possible to utilize sustainable, globally sourced, organic and/or recycled materials for use in product production.
  8. … be as diligent as possible to demand fair trade/wage practices in the manufacturers we select to produce our products.
  9. … hire disabled (i.e. AbilityOne) employees and employees with barriers where possible.
  10. … exercise transparency in our business practices.

We Assert…

  1. … that our company leaders should make a fair salary, but not at the expense of the well being of our other employees or the company as a whole.
  2. … that our lowest paid employee, within the company itself, will never make any less than 110% of the local area’s minimum wage.
